Trail Rally: 2/16/08

  • Trail Conditions: Disappearing Slowly
  • Weather Outlook: Can't quite figure that out yet.

An interesting start to the day (my poor kid puking) led to an amazing and endearing end to the day (someone bidding on and buying my son the pencil holder he so desperately wanted).

It was my first ride with the club -- officially, and I must say I was impressed by the hospitality and friendliness that infused the trails.

I heard about two sleds that got rolled, Galen leaving his DNA all over the trail with a gaping head wound and someone running out of gas in the middle of a corn field -- but all that dwindles in the memory of the ride.

Best Memory:  Going through the hills outside of Forester.  I love that narrow, winding trail -- makes me feel like a deer running through the trees.

Worst Memory:  Already said it -- Dawson puking his guts out before the ride even started.  But, thanks to a really tall, helpful man, I got that mess mopped up in no time.

Biggest Thanks: To Galen, Dually (sorry 'bout the spelling?), Ed and the groomers of the trail for giving us a huge playground to run around on and make our muscles ache!
